Created in 1980, the Albums des jeunes architectes et des paysagistes (AJAP) competition is a promotional tool designed to facilitate young professionals' access to commissions. It is organized every two years since 2001 by the Ministry of Culture with the support of the Cité de l'architecture et du patrimoine and the support of the French Institute.
The call for applications for the 2018 session of AJAP is addressed to young architects and landscape architects under 35 years of age on 31 December 2017, without condition of nationality, and having to their credit, in France, as a designer, at least one participation in a competition or project that has been or is in progress.
The AJAP competition rewards projects and works that stand out for their innovative strength and commitment and open up new avenues for reflection on the architecture and landscape of tomorrow.
The winners, selected by a jury of professionals, will benefit for two years of a promotional campaign: travelling exhibition in France and abroad, publication of a bilingual catalogue, website, organization of meetings in France and Europe with the public and project owners, participation in trade shows such as the International Real Estate Professionals Market (MIPIM) in Cannes.
