Since 2017, the DRAC has been committed to equality and diversity
Holder of the double label ALLIANCE diversity and equality, issued by AFNOR Certification, the DRAC Île-de-France has established an action plan covering the period 2017-2021, renewed for the period 2021-2025. This action plan takes into account the issues of professional equality between women and men and proposes to fight against gender stereotypes and sexual and gender-based violence as well as against all other forms of discrimination, whether they concern disability, sexuality, age or origin.
These commitments concern both the officers of the DRAC, who are trained and sensitized to these issues, the recruitment policies within the administration, but also the policies implemented in the Ile-de-France, the objective being to promote women’s access to positions of responsibility, to aim for better representativeness of women in the arts and culture, in particular by rebalancing support in their favour, establish specific clauses in public procurement and promote diversity in all its forms and the fight against discrimination recognized by law.
This action plan is part of the overall approach undertaken by the Ministry of Culture, and in particular within the framework of the equality roadmap of the Minister of Culture.
In 2024, the DRAC also engaged in a protocol with the Regional Directorate for Women’s Rights and Equality (DRDFE Île-de-France), in order to raise the issue of equality in culture.
