Assistance to museums for conservation and restoration
France Museum Research and Restoration Centre (C2RMF)
The scientific staff of the restoration department of the Centre de recherche et de restauration des musées de France fulfils, for the museums of France who request it, a role of assistance to the project management in conservation-restoration.
The operating chain takes place in several phases, from the official request submitted by a museum via OSCAR (Tool for monitoring preservation, archives and research) up to the interventions themselves.
Museums in France have generally established a prior contact with the museum advisor of their region who accompanies them in their efforts.
