Career guidance
The law provides that public educational institutions for music, dance and drama may offer an initial vocational education cycle (CEPI). This cycle is aimed primarily at specially motivated students with recognized artistic potential. It is the subject of an implementation favoring the pooling of resources and the operation in network of establishments.
These various texts are supplemented by the national schemes of educational guidance for music, of dance and drama whose vocation is to give educational institutions common pedagogical benchmarks that can adapt to their history and particular contexts.
> Common introduction to educational guidance schemes for music, dance and drama
> Dance educational guidance scheme (2004)
> Transversal provisions: the establishment project and consultation and annexes
Conditions of access to higher education and diplomas
The conditions of access and the courses vary significantly according to the schools and specialties. If university diplomas are rarely required, it is necessary, in order to have access to training, to pass an entrance examination in which practical tests are predominant. Studies are generally sanctioned by an examination that leads to the issuance of an end-of-course diploma.
