Open public visit
To discover the Saint-Pierre Cathedral in Montpellier, the Direction Régionale des Affaires Culturelles (Conservation Régionale des Monuments Historiques) offers a tour consisting of a historical introduction and ten commented works.
Download the comments
All the proposed visit documents can be consulted and available for download on the right of the screen
Access comments directly on smartphone from the cathedral
At the entrance of the cathedral, a touch-screen kiosk presents the visit assistance device and gives access to a QR code that you must aim for to get the historical introduction. A map allows to locate in the cathedral the nine works of the route benefiting from a commentary.
For each work, the comment is then accessible by targeting the QR code placed on the cartel.
How to use QR codes:
The QR code can be read through a reading app or bar code reader. There are several that can be downloaded for free. After downloading and installing the playback application, simply open this application and aim for the QR code by stabilizing the device. The application recognizes the QR code and gives direct access to the page of the DRAC Languedoc Roussillon website on which the comment is proposed for download.
A booklet gathering all the notices of works is also available on request from the reception.
