Theatre and associated arts
The DRAC Île-de-France contributes to the implementation of national guidelines in the perspective of a cultural development of the territory, in the field of theatre and associated arts: drama, street arts and public space, circus arts, object theatre, puppetry, mime, storytelling, storytelling. The sector is followed by the theatre and associated arts department, attached to the regional creative service.
Our missions
The DRAC (theatre and associated arts department) monitors the activity and management of labeled establishments: national drama centers (CDN), national stages (SN), stage agreements (SCIN) and places of creation and distribution located in Île-de-France.

Team Support hasrtistic
The DRAC Île-de-France follows the work of more than 800 artistic teams in the field of theatre and associated arts (street arts, circus arts, mime, storytelling, gesture arts, puppetry and object theatre, etc.) that can be supported in different ways:
Deconcentrated aid for performing arts : project support (creation or recovery) or agreement (multi-annual assistance). Experts from the College of Theatre and Associated Arts mandated by the Regional Prefect meet in consultative regional commissions to monitor the artistic creation of these teams.
National aids (companionship, national creative support for street arts and circus, and roaming assistance) multi-annual agreements or the creation and takeover project which are the subject of a national commission based on the expertise of the DRAC’s advisers for the teams dependent on the Île-de-France.
Artist residencies : the DRAC gives priority to strengthening the artistic presence in the territories and within the structures of the various creation and dissemination networks. This mechanism is not a call for projects open to companies, funding is directly allocated to the structures monitored by the department.
Festivals: to meet the needs of development and structuring of festivalsThe Ministry of Culture provides them with financial assistance under certain conditions.
