À la carte cultivation
« For our cultural action programming, we have two main objectives: support for artistic creation and popular education ” explains Corinne.
Cultural programming is structured in thematic cycles, on social themes, such as the environment, digital or education, or around artistic creation for young and young children: « For example, we welcomed children’s illustrator and writer Corinne Dreyfuss and illustrator Benjamin Chaud, says Corinne. For social themes, we invite specialists or authors. Colin Niel and Bernard Francou spoke about the environment and global warming ". Exhibitions, meetings, creative workshops, screenings, shows and professional days punctuate the year, not to mention a whole range of activities around digital, for a program in full swing between October and March.
The team co-constructs popular education activities with partners, including the Lycée de Briançon for the literary prize and eloquence workshops, but also the Conservatoire for concerts and live art shows.
Logistics specific to the mountains

CertainlyAnne Gally, coordinator of cultural activities, the logistical constraints of a mountain area are there. In winter, it is not always easy to bring our stakeholders. But we face it by pooling efforts and means: an author who spends one day with us will have another date in a nearby library or bookstore The public is there!
The places are inhabited beyond the times of event and regularly welcome freelancers who work or high school students who revise.
Next? To identify and make available to the public an ancient fund that includes 5000 works prior to 1835, the Aristide Albert fonds. “ They are books of philosophy, travel, social sciences. A heritage to explore! ", concludes Corinne.
