René Maron
René Maron (born 1915) is a DETP architect-engineer active from 1943.
Originally from Drôme (Tain l'Ermitage), he is an engineer by training. A graduate of the Paris Special School of Public Works in 1936, he began his professional life as a technical assistant (i.e., supervisor of works) in the city of Lyon where he worked between 1941 and 1943.
In 1943, he applied for registration with the Order of Architects in the district of Lyon and then, in the process, his approval as an architect-reconstructor. In May 1945, he was appointed to Tarascon, where he opened an agency at 9 boulevard Jules Ferry. The reconstruction of the city center, under the direction of Pierre Vago (1910-2002) and in collaboration with Léon Pierre and Marcel Guesnot (1896-1974) inaugurated his professional life as an architect. He worked as an architect of operations in the islands II, III, IV and IX (1948-1960).
Also as part of the war damage, he created the presbytery, the cult centre and the sacristy of the Sainte-Marthe collegiate church (1966-1972). René Maron then moved his agency to Beaucaire and continued to be active in eastern Gard and western Bouches-du-Rhône during the 1950s and 1960s, notably building municipal facilities. In the area of housing, it is registering economic and family housing models.
