Following the announcement by Franck Riester, Minister of Culture, and thanks to the largest amount of support ever allocated to an educational institution of the Ministry of Culture, the École du Louvre presents its vast programme of works on its site of the Flore wing of the Louvre Palace.
Franck Riester, Minister of Culture, Claire Barbillon, Director of the Ecole du Louvre and Majid Boustany, sponsor of the project, met on 8 June 2020 to make this ambitious architectural project a reality (nearly 1300 m²) which reconfigures the institution with a reinvented library, the creation of a Research Centre and the redevelopment of the cafeteria and of the documentary and computer services.
“I am pleased with this future project “Ecole du Louvre 2021” that the sponsorship of Majid Boustany, the largest ever committed to a higher education institution of the Ministry of Culture, has made possible. The evolution of the Ecole du Louvre is an opportunity for its students, researchers and professors, and for this place at the heart of our heritage.” Franck Riester, Minister of Culture.
