Regional events and events
The DRAC Île-de-France coordinates and implements each year several heritage events of the Ministry of Culture or its operators. It also carries major heritage events in connection with local authorities.
European Night of Museums (in May)
Each year more than 150 foreign museums and cultural centres in the Île-de-France region participate in the European Night of Museums, coordinated by DRAC, attracting over 100,000 visitors.
Visit the gardens (in June)
Each year more than 230 parks and gardens in Île-de-France participate in the Go to the gardens, coordinated by the DRAC.
European Archaeology Days (in June)
The DRAC Regional Archaeology Service participates annually in the European Archaeology Days, coordinated by the National Institute for Preventive Archaeological Research (INRAP).
European Heritage Days (in September)
Flagship event of the Ministry of Culture, the European Heritage Days attract hundreds of thousands of visitors to the Île-de-France region, with more than 2,800 events and events offered by 1,500 participating venues.
National Architecture Days (October) and Architecture Month (September to October)
Coordinated by the DRAC, the National Days of Architecture Each year, 250 events in Ile-de-France are organised by around 100 participating organisations. In 2022, the DRAC Île-de-France piloted for the first time a Architecture Month which started with the European Heritage Days and ended with the National Days of Architecture.
Regional Archaeological Days of Île-de-France (in December)
Carried by the DRAC in partnership each year with a local authority archaeology service, the Regional Archaeological Days are intended for a public of professionals and amateurs of archaeology and make it possible to make a state of the current research on the territory of Ile-de-France.
Heritage in poetry
Each year, the DRAC and the Regional Council of Île-de-France organize the competition Heritage in poetry for children aged 8 to 12 years invited to compose a poem about their favorite heritage in Île-de-France. More than 1,000 children participate in this big contest every year.
