Greater Verdun Agglomeration Community
The Communauté d'Agglomération du Grand Verdun (CAGV) was labeled Pays d'art et d'histoire on March 1, 2024.As part of this, it is recruiting its (his) project leader (fe) Pays d'art et d'histoire.
The CAGV includes 25 municipalities, including 9 villages declared «dead for France». Its territory is located north of the Meuse department, in the heart of the Grand-Est region. Verdun, its city-centre, has 28,000 inhabitants.
It is located 65 kilometers west of Metz, 100 kilometers east of Reims and 1 hour from Paris by TGV. The CAGV is punctuated by a solid network of cultural facilities. It implements an ambitious cultural policy, lever of territorial development: valorization of historical, natural and landscape heritage; strong actions in favor of the creation and improvement of the living environment, etc.

Hierarchical and functional relations: under the authority of the Service Director and the Director of the Heritage division.
Status : holder or contractual
Possible job description for this position : attaché, territorial attaché for heritage conservation, heritage curator.
Main missions :
- Develop a global project to promote heritage
- Enhance knowledge of the community’s heritage and ensure its dissemination to the widest possible public
- Coordinate and implement, within the framework of the label, actions to promote heritage and raise awareness of architecture
