Created at the initiative of the Ministry of Culture and Communication, the «Rendez-vous aux jardins» had as theme« lhe colors of the garden ». Initial attendance figures show more than 4 300 visitors to the area.
Among the new participants areGarden of Marie Jo and Serge in Polincove in the Pas-de-Calais (110 visitors) and the Jardin des Tétards Brouckerque in the North (100 visitors).
This weekend was an opportunity to discover or rediscover the gardens labeled «Remarkable gardens» such as the Jardin du Mont des Recollets Cassel in the North (357 visitors) or the Gardens of the abbey from Valloire to Argoule in the Somme ( 962 visitors ).
Welcomed and guided by the owners, 200 visitors walked the aisles of the Jardin du Curé in Epehy in the Somme and 274 the Sequoia Garden Limont Fontaine in the North. 682 visitors were able to discover a ceramic exhibition in the garden of the Maladreria in Beauvais, Oise, and 100 others an exhibition of books at the Garden of Lilith to Suzanne in the Somme.
The Saint-Omer Public Garden in the Pas-de-Calais (118 visitors), and the Jardin de la Belleuse Felleries in the North (187 visitors) have proposed respectively demonstrations of mosaic cultures and animations "colors of the garden".
Despite the gloomy weather, the public confirmed their interest in the event by visiting the 114 public and private gardens of which 22 new open in the region and participating in the activities offered (guided tours, exhibitions, workshops, conferences).
The 15th The theme of the event, on 2, 3 and 4 June 2017, will be “Sharing”: sharing spaces for gardening, seeds and plants, but also sharing knowledge, know-how and moments of pleasure and discovery.
