Musée de France - The class, the work
For the European Night of Museums, the Beffroi Musée Boucher in Perthes-Manessier offers the free visit of its exhibitions, «The body in all its forms», set up by the students of the Boucher high school in Perthes as part of the national system «The class, the work!» , and the exhibition «De l'œuvre à l'image de soi», the result of a collaboration between the museum and the agency France Travail d'Abbeville.
Visits flash the museum’s collections and essential works are also organized throughout the evening, as well as a participatory mural workshop, a festive moment «Muséo Dance», a theatre performance by «La troupe du bout d'la rue» and mini-conferences on the museum, its works and projects.

Carmel – Abbeville Heritage House
The new exhibition outside the walls of the Belfry Boucher Museum of Perthes-Manessier, «Fauna and Flora. Entre science, poésie et décor” shows a selection of works from the reserves, where flowers and animals flourish freely. On reservation only, the curator of the exhibition is available to the public for a guided tour.

Somme Museum 1916 in Albert
For the European Night of Museums, the Musée Somme 1916 offers a visit to the flashlight of its underground gallery more than 250 meters long, which traces the life of soldiers in the trenches. Reconstructed scenes, collections of weapons, objects and photos punctuate the course, which ends in the «Hall of heroes», space dedicated to nine characters who distinguished themselves during the conflict.

Museum of Picardy in Amiens

For the European Night of Museums, the Musée de Picardie offers a free visit to the museum and exhibitions «Sur la plage impressionniste. Dans l'œil d'Édouard Manet”, which celebrates the 150th anniversary of Impressionism, and “La Somme des Préhistoires”, a 670,000 journey through Prehistory to the present day.
In parallel, musical interludes are offered by the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional, as well as a performance, «Futur Lithic Reduction», between the conference and experimental archaeology.

The House of Jules Verne in Amiens
The Maison de Jules Verne opens its doors for a reading marathon. In the cosy atmosphere of the night, in a 19th century mansione century, visitors are invited to travel from room to room in the universe of Jules Verne. Throughout the evening, excerpts from «Voyage au centre de la Terre» will punctuate the nocturnal stroll.

On the occasion of the Night of Museums, the Lombart Museum in Doullens welcomes visitors for a full program of discoveries: opening of the micro-madness, digital museum, workshop for children, guided tour of the museum, etc. The choir Chœurs du Doullennais will punctuate the evening, before a concert in duo guitar-voice.

History of the Great War in Péronne

This First World War museum presents the cultural stories of the three main nations that fought during the conflict: France, Great Britain and Germany. A unique collection shows the daily lives of soldiers, but also that of civilians. Thus, the museum testifies to the agony of an ancient world and the birth of the XXe century.
For the European Night of Museums, the documentary «Les oubliés de la Grande Guerre», which recounts the excavations and the discovery of the body of Alain Fournier, will be screened. In parallel, a treasure hunt is animated by the theatre troupe Atrébates.

Musée des Frères Caudron in Rue
Located in the premises of the Tourist Office of Rue, this museum evokes the life of the Caudron brothers, pioneers of aviation in Picardy. At XXe century, Passionate about the Wright brothers' tests, the Caudrons decided to imitate them by building their own aircraft. Their production was so successful that they equipped the French army with their biplanes. This museum includes many personal documents, bronzes, trophies, models. They retrace this fantastic industrial adventure.
Visitors are expected for a conference that honours some of the women who marked the beginnings of aviation on Caudron and Potez aircraft. A self-guided tour of the museum is also available.

Departmental Cultural Centre of the Abbey of Saint-Riquier

As part of the European Night of Museums, the Departmental Cultural Centre of the Abbey of Saint-Riquier proposes the discovery with flashlight of its two exhibitions, «Les manuscrits de Saint-Riquier» and «Optical Disillusions – Bernard Pras», but also the private chapel of the Abbey, which houses murals of the sixteenth century.
For the bravest, an escape game «À l'école de magie» will take place in one of the oldest rooms of the Abbey.
Exceptionally, the public can also discover the backstages of the Cultural Centre. In the company of the technical coordinator, visitors will have access to the backstage of the theatre, the dressing rooms of the artists, etc.

Franco-Australian Museum in Villers-Bretonneux
As part of the European Night of Museums, the Franco-Australian Museum offers a guided tour to discover the special aspects of the First World War, from the «Dead Man’s Penny» to the Bon dart, as well as the history of General Monash or Captain Jacka, unknown to the French public.
The museum presents, through the richness of the collection of the Franco-Australian association, the links uniting Villers-Bretonneux to Australia since the First World War, and especially this night from 24 to 25 April 1918, when the Australian army stopped the German advance at Villers-Bretonneux. This history of war, memory and the future is explained by a museographic journey divided into four sequences illustrated by personal objects of soldiers, but also by archive images and moving testimonies of this Franco-Australian friendship.
