Ms Rachida DATI, Minister of Culture, in agreement with Mr. Michel BISSON, President of the Greater Paris South agglomeration, Mr. Stéphane RAFFALLI, Mayor of Ris-Orangis, Mr. François DUROVRAY, President of the Departmental Council of Essonne, approves the appointment of Mr. Ndero SOU NGADOY to the direction of the Contemporary Music Scene (SMAC), «The Plan» in Ris-Orangis in Essonne.
A graduate in audiovisual and multimedia communication, Mr. Ndero SOU NGADOY began his professional career by writing documentaries, audiovisual production and artistic and cultural education missions. He joined the city of Montreuil in 2015 as a collaborator of the mayor, then held the functions of cultural mission officer for issues of heritage valuation, memory work and development of urban cultures. In 2021, he became the administrative and financial manager of «La Pêche», a municipal contemporary music venue in the City of Montreuil.
With this versatile experience and his commitment to the local cultural fabric, Mr. Ndero SOU NGADOY now aspires to inject a new dynamic into the «Plan» scene. He will be anxious to assert a demanding and popular artistic identity, paying close attention to urban music. It aims to promote transdisciplinarity, thus promoting encounters between music, dance and the visual arts. Mr. Ndero SOU NGADOY wishes to make the «Plan» a laboratory of creation and support for the artistic emergence. Its project is also distinguished by a strong territorial anchorage. Strongly committed to the defence of cultural rights, he wishes to make the «Plan» a place of transmission, sharing and exchange. In addition, her project, committed to feminism, is established with respect for the cultural diversity of audiences and is part of a process of ecological transformation of the current music sector.
Mr. Ndero SOU NGADOY will take up his new position as Director of SMAC “The Plan” from June 2024, succeeding Mr. Fabien LHERISSON, who headed the institution from 2013 to 2022.
