Publications and bibliography - 2013

On this page you will find publications prepared especially for the centenary of the law of 31 December 1913 on historical monuments at national level (historical works, legal journals, journals of associations) as in the Regional Cultural Affairs Directorates (Regional Conservation of Historical Monuments). In addition to a selective bibliography on historical monuments and heritage, you will also find a list of all the works produced in the collections «Heritage restored» or «Monuments under construction» or in specific collections. All these works are intended to present the work of protection, conservation and restoration carried out by the regional directorates of Cultural Affairs.

	1913 - Genesis of a law on historical monuments Edition with French documentation supported by the Directorate-General for Heritage and the History Committee of the Ministry of Culture and Communication. Work coordinated by the CECOJI-CNRS and the National School of Charters as part of the Mémolois project - Memory of major heritage laws which brings together more than 20 authors (lawyers, historians, heritage curators). 	Monumental The monumental review devotes part of its 2^e 2013 edition to the centenary of the law of 1913 focusing on demonstrating the evolution of the policy of protection, the evolution of the techniques of restoration, in the permanent concern to maintain and transmit the knowledgeto make and develop research in the field of conservation-restoration. The centennial celebration is illustrated through a selection of recent operations of iconic restorations. Theorange arch, the nevers cathedral, the frescoes of the Saint-Martial chapel of the Palace of the Popes (Avignon), the halles du Boulingrin (Reims) , the convent of La Tourette and the diorama by Louis Daguerre* in Bry-sur-Marne are thus at the table*
	100 years of protection, September 2013 On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, the Directorate-General for Heritage has published a work in the form of ephemeris (one building per year and a selection of movable objects per decade) to highlight the diversity of heritage and the expansion of the concept of Historic Monument since 1913.

DRAC Limousin	LIMOUSIN Pêle-Mêle: 100 years of historical monuments in Limousin presents thirty-five buildings or movable objects listed or classified as emblematic historical monuments of the region, illustrating in particular the evolution of the look on historical monuments since the creation of this notion and the first protections of the XIX^e century. 	MIDI-PYRÉNÉES Publication «Protecting historical monuments in the Midi-Pyrénées»
	PAYS-DE-LA-LOIRE Two publications of the DRAC des Pays-de-la-Loire to launch Parlez moi patrimoines.... The first volume of this collection, «A host of objects», is dedicated to movable heritage, of a great diversity both chronological and typological. The second volume “Buildings in all their states” is devoted to protected buildings. The celebration of this anniversary gives the DRAC the opportunity to draw up a regional assessment of 100 years of a heritage policy.
