Micro-Funds and Paris Collection
Micro-Funds have been designed to be adaptable to a variety of venues and are intended to be a place of cultural life for all. The main objective of this scheme is to provide a local cultural service accessible to all citizens. Located as close as possible to the life of the inhabitants, the Micro-Funds settle in the space of everyday life. Their implementation, in fact, is based on a partnership approach that mobilizes national and local actors in a logic of co-construction.
OUR MISSIONS
The Prefecture of Île-de-France, the DRAC and the prefects of department are particularly mobilized to deploy the Micro-Funds on the Ile-de-France territory. The work of providing information to local authorities, which focuses more on rural areas with a large crown, is continued and intensified. The challenge in Île-de-France is to connect the Micro-Funds with existing cultural projects in the regions: libraries, venues, etc. and eventually to consider the creation of a Ile-de-France collection for the digital museum, in order to discover the heritage and museum riches of the Île-de-France.
The Regional Directorates of Cultural Affairs have full responsibility for the mapping of new settlements, in close and permanent consultation with the communities and prefects who are already their daily partners. The DRAC coordination role makes it possible to link the Micro-Funds to other cultural and artistic projects carried by local actors.
Les Micro-Folies, a tool at the service of territorial animation
A Micro-Folie is an equipment that offers playful and technological cultural content that can be installed in all existing places (media library, party room, heritage place, hall of town, commerce, school, etc.) and requiring no particular infrastructure. This device is installed in a space of at least 100m2 equipped with power outlets and if possible with internet access. It can be located in an existing structure (media library, cultural and social centre, heritage place, shopping centre, etc.) or integrated into a new program.
The contents of the Digital Museum are free and allow access to the national collections of the 12 founding cultural institutions and several regional and European collections. Depending on the location chosen to host the Micro-Madness and the project designed for and with the inhabitants, several complementary modules can complete the Digital Museum: a FabLab, a Virtual Reality space, a stage, library/game library or a space of conviviality.
Participate in joint events that punctuate the life of the Micro-Foundation network, such as the launch of a new collection of the Digital Museum or national or regional meetings with the institutional or operational actors of the network.
Have content and tools to launch its Micro-Fund: all the collections of the Digital Museum, the content provided by the partners (the ARTE 360° Virtual Reality programmes, applications with Radio France...), mediation tools (the educational kit of the RMN-Grand Palais, tutorials of workshops...), training (taking in hand of the Digital Museum, FabLab or Cultural Mediation)...
Ensure the enrichment of the cultural offer. New content is regularly proposed to the network by the Micro-Funds or by the public establishment of the park and the great hall of Villette, it can be artistic proposals, educational workshop, mediation content or offers from partner institutions.
