The main actors of the cathedral of Amiens (State, Center of National Monuments and Clergy affected) wanted to expand the offer of visit proposed. The Cloister Gallery and the Treasure Room are now the subject of a new convention that will allow the National Monuments Centre to show these spaces from the beginning of 2016.
The official signing of the management agreement will take place on December 29, 2015 at 11:30 am in the Cathedral of Amiens (Gallery of the Cloister) in the presence of Monsignor Olivier Leborgne, Bishop of the Diocese of Amiens, Mr. Philippe Bélaval, President of the Center of National Monuments, and Nicole Klein, Warden of the Picardie region.
The treasure room, completely renovated in 2007, offers seven windows with a chronological and thematic approach. Visitors will be able to admire the famous relic of the chief of Saint John the Baptist, the cross called "of the Paraclete" or the shrine of Saint-Firmin.
