The Olympic Games will be held from 26 July to 11 August, followed by the Paralympic Games from 28 August to 9 September 2024. All year 2024 will live to the rhythm of all sports. In 2022 and 2023, many events were initiated and organized by actors from the artistic and cultural world and local authorities. The Hauts-de-France Regional Directorate for Cultural Affairs has supported some of these initiatives, both under the Cultural Olympiad and through the Cultural Summer.
The Cultural Olympiad already engages multiple actors: local authorities labeled "Land of games", public establishments and operators of culture, artists, structures for youth, sports federations and sports clubs where the vocations of the future champion (ne)s Olympic.
The call for projects Cultural Olympiad 2024 in Hauts-de-France is a tool to strengthen this support, so that a wide variety of projects combining art and sport is addressed and invented with the inhabitants of the region and in particular those who are the most distant, in all their time of life and in all the territories of the region.
The Cultural Olympiad in Hauts-de-France is aimed at all living areas and proposes to mobilize all areas of artistic and cultural life: visual arts, performing arts, museums, heritage – sports in particular - books and reading, cinema, media education, information and freedom of expression, digital, etc.
Within the framework of this call for projects, the DRAC will be particularly attentive to proposals promoting meeting, proximity, itinerancy, conviviality and a great openness of cultural and sports places through participatory projects, born and conceived directly with the inhabitants.
