The territories labeled «City or Country of Art and History» (VPAH) are committed to a policy of raising the awareness of the inhabitants, visitors and young public to the quality of the heritage, architecture and living environment. Many of them offer various animations during the Rendez-vous to the gardens. As well as places protected under the Historical Monuments, which by their heritage interest have impressive gardens and parks.

Esquelbecq Castle Gardens (North)
The Château d'Esquelbecq will inaugurate its exhibition «Paysage Sonore» at the Rendez-vous aux jardins 2023. The latter highlights the sense of hearing, often relegated to the background. Events in Cambrai (North)
The public garden of Cambrai invites Eric Van Osselaer, a Belgian sculptor and musician, with whom fruits and vegetables become musical instruments. The cultural place Le Labo, meanwhile, presents various shows: «From Vivaldi to Stravinsky: nature in music» with the pianist and composer Alessandro Pivett; «A garden in my hand», for the little ones, with the company L'Échappée belle; but also the screening of the documentary film «Birds of America» followed by an intervention by Damien Villota, League for the Protection of Birds and Biodiversity.

Parc et jardins du domaine de Chantilly (Oise)
Thanks to its mobile application, the Chantilly area offers all audiences to hear the murmuring of birds in the Petit Parc, the trembling of the water of the Grande Cascade, the choir of frogs of the English garden and the many solo artists such as the Martin-Fisherman, the great tit or the Tardone carsaca populating its gardens.

Vegetable garden of Etournelles in Breuil-le-Sec (Oise)
The gardeners welcome you in this vegetable garden where flowers, fruits and vegetables have been grown for 170 years and in the 17th century harvest barn where the music school of the Clermont will play violins, cellos, clarinets and strings.

Chartreuse Notre-Dame-des-Prés in Neuville-sous-Montreuil (Pas-de-Calais)
Chartreuse Notre-Dame-des-Prés, representative of the heritage mission in Hauts-de-France organizes a treasure hunt to raise children’s awareness of nature and proposes the discovery of its gardens, as well as a workshop for successful seeding. The association Opale Photos will inaugurate its exhibition «The Birds of the Gardens» and Amandine, herbalist, will teach you to recognize medicinal plants.

Rambures Castle (Somme)
Fifteen hectares of romantic English park, labeled «Remarkable Garden» and protected under the title of Historical Monuments, surround the medieval fortress of Rambures. Its winding paths allow the discovery, in addition to the arboretum, of an orchard-conservatory, a collection of ferns, and a rose garden with 500 varieties of roses. For this weekend of Rendez-vous aux jardins, concerts and entertainment are organized.

Rendez-vous aux jardins is a national event, organized by the Ministry of Culture, which aims to highlight the richness and variety of parks and gardens, historical and contemporary and the preservation of a cultivated nature throughout the territory.
It is also an opportunity to sensitize visitors to the many actions implemented by the Ministry of Culture, local authorities and owners, private and public, to conserve, restore, create gardens and transmit knowledge and know-how.
