Roselyne Bachelot-Narquin, Minister of Culture, has entrusted to Anne Matheron a provisional administration mission of the Ecole nationale supérieure d'architecture de Montpellier (ENSAM).
As a result of the administrative investigation conducted to shed light on alleged comments and behaviours with the connotation of moral harassment and possible gender and sexual violence within this school, the Ministry of Culture is currently implementing all necessary disciplinary procedures and reporting.
In this particular context, which is also marked by the health crisis, which requires increased attention to the study and work climate of students, the mission entrusted to Anne Matheron will consist in defining a governance of exit from crisis and ensuring the implementation of all actions contributing to it and aimed at preserving the interests of the institution, at the service of the students. Special attention will be paid to early warning, psychological support and prevention measures, as well as to restoring the proper functioning of management bodies.
Anne Matheron will carry out this mission for a minimum of four months and will be placed with the Director General of Heritage and Architecture.
A graduate of the Institut d'études politiques de Paris and the Institut d'administration des entreprises, Anne Matheron spent her entire career at the Ministry of Culture, first in central administration at the Music Directorate in 1981, then as a public institution as administrator of the National Monuments Centre. Appointed Regional Director of Cultural Affairs of the Auvergne Region in 2013, then Deputy Regional Director of the Occitanie Region in 2016, she held the position of Regional Director of Cultural Affairs of Burgundy-Franche-Comté since 2018.
