The Spring University, an educational programme organised by the Ministry of Education, has
National Education staff, marking a successful step in the development of the
dialogue between the school and the scientific community. In addition, the meetings organized between
French and German students, as well as the launch of the Bureau d'aide à l'insertion professionnelle
led by the INHA, offered special moments to young art historians to discuss
career opportunities in the discipline.
On the theme of «trips» and with Germany as guest country, more than a hundred events
free access – conferences, round tables, concerts, exhibitions, film screenings, readings – have
confirmed that every year, in Fontainebleau, the Festival of Art History was expected as a party
of mind and gaze.
Cinema has enjoyed an important place with 61 films screened, mixing classics, rare nuggets and
Art & Caméra, the cinema section of the Festival. With the presence of 77 publishers and 3 booksellers,
the Salon du livre et des revues d'art offered a very wide panorama of recent publications, French
and foreign, and allowed meetings with authors.
Among the novelties of this second edition, several Awards have been created. For Art & Camera, the award
aid for the creation of a film on art was given to Antoine de Mena for the film «The Otherness in Front», and
the award of the young critic for the short film «La Difunta Correa» by Nicolas Cambois and Sébastien Gardet.
At the Salon du livre et des revues d'art, two prizes for the translation of the art book were awarded to the
Macula and editions Parentheses.
