How better ' bring power and delicacy to life » of the work of Christian Bobin that by provoking readings of his writings? It is precisely the choice chosen by Rima Abdul Malak, who wished make resonate in the Ministry of Culture on January 20, on the occasion of the Nights of Reading, selected texts of the writer-poet who died in November 2022.
Called «Night of the Heart», this unique event brought together, around a fervent audience of lovers of the poet’s writings, relatives of Christian Bobin, authors, personalities of the literary world, musicians and anonymous readers who, All, were able to read a few pages of the poet writer and salute his memory by embodying his texts.
Throughout the evening, a reading room was also opened, with books by Christian Bobin to be read on site and video archives streamed.

By opening for the first time the doors of the ministry to the general public for this night out of time, the Minister of Culture wished to embody the importance of reading, whether collective or individual, to give meaning to our lives and broaden our horizons.
This event was organized in partnership with Éditions Gallimard, Comédie Française and Printemps des poètes, and with the complicity of publishers Fata Morgana and Lettres Vives.
Night of the Heart: an evening of celebration of the work of Christian Bobin
From 8 pm to 9.30 pm, musical performance by Engé Quartet, a gypsy jazz group, readings by the Minister of Culture, Rima Abdul Malak, Sophie Nauleau, Antoine Gallimard, François Busnel and the actors of the Comédie-Française troupe.
From 9.30pm to 11pm, Daniel Pennac read the preface to Une petite robe de fête accompanied by his daughter, Alice Pennacchioni, at the piano in an original composition; excerpt from Very low read by Laure Adler, then read by Comédie-Française, Jean-Pierre Siméon, Clotilde de Bayser and André Velter to the rhythm of musical interludes provided by Engé Quartet, a gypsy jazz group.
From 11pm to 2am, reading of texts interpreted by Suliane Brahim and Clément Hervieu Léger, actors of the Comédie-Française troupe, and by Augustin Trapenard; performance by Engé Quartet, Gypsy jazz group and piano interludes by students of the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris.
