Driven by the desire to reduce inequalities in access to art and culture, the community of communes Pays d'Opale has set itself the ambitious goal of generalising artistic and cultural education to all ages and socio-professional categories in its territory, thus contributing to the constitution of their artistic and cultural education path.
In partnership with the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs of Hauts-de-France, the Rectorate of the Academy of Lille - Regional Academic Delegation to Arts and Culture, the Departmental Directorate of National Education Services of Pas-Pasde-Calais and the departmental council of Pas-de-Calais, the community of communes Pays d'Opale proposes two mission residences.
He is therefore wanted two artists and or groups of professional artists in the performing arts whose artistic approach is punctually or regularly crossed by an interest in the notions of living together, conviviality and sharing.
The thematic chosen is: «the art of meeting, making territory». In this context, artists and/or artist collectives are invited to imagine innovative proposals that are as close as possible to the inhabitants and their living spaces, bringing together the notions of mobility, hospitality, sharing and proximity by inviting art “where not expected”.
The period of residence shall be 20 January 2025 to 18 May 2025. It is therefore a residence of four full months, or seventeen weeks, of physical presence (90 days in total), at a rate of 5 to 6 days per week.

Context
The two proposed mission residences take place as part of the local arts education contract (CLEA) which brings together, over a number of years, the various public authorities mentioned above and which have chosen to implement them throughout life, thus taking into account, beyond youth alone, all the inhabitants of the community of communes.
