Training the designers of tomorrow
The Ministry of Culture plays a key role in training the designers of tomorrow. It has direct control over a wide network of public art and design schools. As a result of these trusteeships, the Ministry participates in the structuring of higher education in design at the national level. A rich and diversified training offer
The proliferation of fields of application of design has led to the creation of a wide variety of training courses. The courses are offered in secondary schools (BTS and DSAA), national art and design colleges (ESAD) of the Ministry of Culture, universities and private schools.
Design is learned in particular within public art and design schools under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture. These 44 establishments The European Union’s higher education institutions are spread over 55 campuses, located in the national territory, in mainland France and overseas. Each year, they prepare nearly 12,500 students for the fine arts and design professions.
