The Trets silo was built in 1932 in the context of a national wheat storage policy (Law of 30 April 1930) and a regional agricultural modernization policy. A group of local farmers is thus encouraged, thanks to a grant from the General Council, to commission the construction of three cooperative silos in Arles, Miramas and Trets.
The work of Trets is entrusted to Georges Salomon, who uses a modern material and register: raw concrete, treated here in geometric volumes, animated by projecting horizontal slats. The silo has been decommissioned since 1990.
