Located at the foot of Fort Saint-Nicolas, the current Rowing Club replaces a former club of the same name, demolished after World War II.
This rectangular building follows the shape of the plot, and adopts a brutalist aesthetics, related to the use of posts and beams of white concrete, left rough. The fillings, made of clear bricks, do not remove anything from the general sobriety. Only the metal staircase, in the shape of a spiral, breaks the geometry of the whole. The interior distribution is based on the principle of functionality, and each floor has a specific mission: the ground floor is used to store the equipment, the first floor houses the gyms, and the second is occupied by the restaurant, which opens on the roof-terrace.
