"Tourist group" designed by architect Georges-Henri Pingusson in 1932, inserted in a site overlooking the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. The building is built in six months, in reinforced concrete with hollow brick fillings. The original program is very complete and includes, besides the hotel of 110 rooms (of which 90 with bathrooms), a restaurant, a sports complex with swimming pools and tennis courts, a casino, shops and related service buildings (water tower, laundry, garages, driver rooms and transformer). The architect signs the entire building, also drawing furniture, lights, carpets and even the costumes of the staff. Inaugurated on 14 July 1932, the hotel is only open for a few seasons. During the Second World War, it was requisitioned by the French, Italian, German and American armies; from 1945 to 1947 it served as a rest centre for former detainees returning from concentration camps. From 1948, the hotel was transformed into apartments in co-ownership.
