Inform, value, promote
The purpose of archaeological research is to share knowledge with as many people as possible. The Regional Service of Archaeology, Knowledge and Protection Sracp supports the scientific and cultural enhancement of heritage of interest to archaeology.
Its main actions in this area are:
- respond to public requests for information and communicate scientific literature (Cidpat)
- promote and participate in the scientific and cultural exploitation of knowledge:
- ensuring the scientific publication of the results of preventive and programmed archaeological research,
- supporting dissemination activities (publications, conferences, exhibitions, etc.),
- by organizing each year the Regional Archaeological Days,
- ensuring the annual publication of the regional scientific review | BSR,
- participating in the regional coordination of National Archaeological Days.
- enumerate the excavation sites open to volunteers in the Midi-Pyrénées,
- contribute to the training,
- contribute to the State’s communication activities in archaeology.
