The choreographic conversations are the result of an artistic proposal of the Pôle Art Danse of the Académie de Montpellier conducted in partnership with Montpellier Danse and the support of the Drac.
These conversations around dance at the School are intended to enhance the singular artistic projects carried out in schools, in partnership with an artist or a cultural structure, giving them a space of visibility, of explanation and valorization.
They concern the production of artistic projects carried out with pupils from primary school to university. By soliciting creative processes and placing the student at the heart of choreographic writing, dance has a special place in the School.
These conversations are also an opportunity to gather and let the actors of arts education and
cultural: teachers, artists, researchers, cultural actors, social and institutional actors.
These didactic and pedagogical reflections conducted around the artistic question of dance in school will allow to share resources, to build and share tools, to support creative approaches with students and students, to enrich the productions implemented with the students, to finally project oneself on a EAC path from kindergarten to high school.
The chosen theme meets the objectives of the Pôle Art Danse de l'Académie de Montpellier, and in particular the three objectives :
- To produce, disseminate and pool innovative resources and tools for the transmission of dance in its artistic dimension.
- Accompany dance teachings in the demanding formalization of teaching contents.
- Develop the partnership’s practices by building on the skills dialogue for a School open to the professional world of culture.
