The CNRA
The National Council for Archaeological Research (CNRA) is an advisory body to the Minister of Culture and Communication.
In 1994, the National Council for Archaeological Research replaces the Higher Council for Archaeological Research created in 1964.
The CNRA is responsible for matters relating to archaeological research on the national territory.
It contributes to the establishment of an interdepartmental policy in the field of archaeology of the national territory. It has a general role in guiding research : objectives, principles, methods, standards. It may scientific evaluations.
He is responsible for special skills : underwater operations, overseas operations, approval of preventive archaeology operators.
