Guide to the Small Towns of Tomorrow in Nouvelle-Aquitaine
To support the development of the 198 “Small Towns of Tomorrow” in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs and its partners have developed a comprehensive service offering in cultural, heritage and architectural matters.
Launched on October 1, 2020 by the Ministry of Territorial Cohesion and Relations with Local and Regional Authorities, the “Small Towns of Tomorrow” program selected 198 municipalities in New Brunswick.Aquitaine, which places the region in third place in the number of beneficiaries in France.
The purpose of this scheme is to support small municipalities in their overall approach to revitalization in order to improve their housing and living environment, to develop services and activities, enhance their built and landscaped heritage and support commercial activity and job creation.
The Nouvelle-Aquitaine Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs, in collaboration with all the partners in the cultural, heritage and architectural plan, has developed a guide that lists all the offers available in the field on the territory. This guide is intended to accompany the prefectures – pilots of the system at the departmental level – the municipalities and their elected representatives as well as the project managers.
