Historical Monuments: Regional Conservation (CRMH)
Within the DRAC, the Regional Conservation of Historic Monuments (CRMH) implements the protection actions, the conservation and supervision of buildings and movable objects protected under the legislation on historic monuments and the enhancement of regional heritage.
To accomplish these missions, the MHRC has an administrative, scientific, technical and financial team, led by the Regional Curator of Historical Monuments, under the authority of the Regional Director of Cultural Affairs.

- advise, authorize and control ;
- keep ;
- value.
Within the Heritage Pole of the DRAC Grand Est, the Regional Conservation of Historic Monuments (CRMH) implements the protection actions, the conservation and supervision of buildings and movable objects protected under the legislation on historic monuments and the enhancement of regional heritage. The DRAC spends an annual budget of around 16 million on the maintenance and restoration of historic monuments.
To accomplish these missions, it has an administrative, scientific, technical and financial team.
Service Organization
A team of scientific, technical and administrative staff make up the service, according to a geographical or transversal distribution of missions.
The CRMH is located on 3 sites: Châlons-en-Champagne (headquarters of the Pôle patrimoines), Metz and Strasbourg.
The MHRC is composed of:
- a management team consisting of the regional curator of historical monuments (based in Châlons-en-Champagne), Jean-Pascal Lemeunier and three deputies, Christophe Niedziocha to Shawls in Champagne, Alexandre Cojannot in Strasbourg and Pauline Lotz in Metz, which form the decision-making link;
- a support team under the direct authority of the Regional Curator of Historical Monuments, which coordinates the work of the three sites;
- operational teams based in Metz, Châlons-en-Champagne and Strasbourg, in order to ensure scientific and technical control and maintain proximity with users;
- a protection mission coordinated by Nicolas Déjardin-Hayart, assistant regional curator of historical monuments.

- 4 305 historical monuments buildings spread evenly across the territory;
- 20 state-owned historical monuments assigned to the Ministry of Culture ;
- 22,521 objects protected under historic monuments;
- 15 cities or countries of art and history ;
- 166 labels architecture contemporaine remarquable ;
- 173 registered parks or gardens ;
- 47 gardens labeled remarkable gardens and 2 Architecture and Heritage Interpretation Centre
- 22 houses of the illustrious.
