Exceptional support for structures certified by the Ministry of Culture
The situation of some cultural sites remains very critical and the Minister of Culture announced at the end of last year that exceptional financial support would be provided to the structures most in difficulty among those subsidized by the Ministry under its “labels”: national operas, national orchestras, national drama centres, national choreographic centres, national stages, contemporary music scenes, regional contemporary art collections or national centres for street and public arts.
In the Grand Est region, 17 structures are supported, including:
- The Opéra National de Lorraine in Nancy: €70,000 (excluding transversal aids)
- Metz National Orchestra: €30,000 (excluding transversal aids)
- The National Scene of Mulhouse «La Filature»: 42,000 € (excluding transversal aids)
- The Théâtre Jeune Public, Centre Dramatique National de Strasbourg Grand Est: €20,000 (excluding transversal aids)
- The Alsace Regional Contemporary Art Fund in Sélestat: €21,000 (excluding cross-cutting grants)
- The Centre Chorégraphique National, ballet from Lorraine to Nancy: €6,000 (excluding transversal aids)
The support provided by the Ministry of Culture corresponds on average to 30% of the additional energy cost and complements the cross-cutting aid from the State and support provided by local authorities when this is the case.
