At the initiative of the Ministry of Culture, under the coordination of the National Institute of Preventive Archaeological Research (INRAP), excavation operators, research organizations, universities, museums and archaeological sites, laboratories, associations, Archives and local authorities are encouraged to organise innovative, original and interactive activities for the general public.
History buffs or simply curious, families, schoolchildren or students, come and discover behind the scenes of heritage and archaeological research.
For three days, throughout France, all those involved in archaeology mobilize to make the public discover the treasures of heritage and the underbelly of the discipline.
