Children and young people, from 0 to 25 years, and their parents and the structures that welcome them, mobilizing throughout the territory
To go in book: with whom?
- professionals: authors, illustrators, teachers, documentalists, booksellers, librarians, educators and animators, artists, journalists, booktubers and influencers…
- structures: associations, local authorities, rural municipalities or large cities, media library networks, tourism offices, national federations, foundations, works councils, public bodies and establishments, private companies, etc.
Going to book: what is it?
Workshops, readings, performances, shows, exhibitions, books at the beach, bookmobile tours, meetings... are on the program of events around the book and youth, programmed by communities, libraries and media libraries, cultural and sports centres, museums, theatres, entertainment centres, but also businesses, campsites, tourist offices..., all over France.
Books offered to children : A graceful distribution of 20,000 books at the events will take place with four titles for children of different ages.
© Les Chèque Lire "With the Lire Cheques, the CNL wants to put a book in the hands of each child". Thanks to the financial support of McDonald’s France and the Up Group, more than 100,000 Chèque Lire booklets are available throughout France. Intended primarily for children and young people who are not going on holiday, these Lire Cheques are distributed during supervised activities.

The theme of the 9e publishing: the freedom
Deadly Adele, is the heroine of the 9th edition 2023! Her godmothers and godfathers are the two authors Antoine Dole (aka Mr Tan) and Diane le Feyer.
Livrodrome: a unique project in France
4e edition of the Livrodrome the first itinerant literary festival in France.
For a month, this literary amusement park will make its own tour of France in 10 stages - from Paris to Marseille, via Toul on June 30, 2023, to meet teenagers and pre-teens aged 11 to 18, everywhere in the country, and to offer them, at each stage, common literary attractions, playful and participatory intended to transmit to them the taste of books, writing and reading.
On the program, 14 recurring attractions on the entire route, for some unpublished, among which: BD, digital lounge, confessional of reading, or live radio, the Livrodrome also offers, in each city, 3 to 5 specific attractions, built with the cultural actors, associations but also the adolescents of the cities crossed, giving each step, a singular color.
Authors, illustrators, professional.... mobilized, as well as independent partner bookshops, the mobilization of the public reading network.
12 events in the Great East
The Centre national du livre launches an annual call for projects to promote quality actions throughout France. They are supported financially by the National Book Centre (CNL), in particular to receive authors and illustrators and to remunerate them, in accordance with the charter of their profession.
These flagship events represent both the diversity of genres and youth literary creation and the multiplicity of animation formats.
12 events are labeled by the National Book Centre in the Grand Est in 2023. Distribution of books on the labeled events will be organized, and Lire cheques will be distributed during the supervised activities.
