The Rhine Palace - headquarters of the DRAC Grand Est in Strasbourg
The Rhine Palace, seat of the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs of the Great East and of the Central Commission for the Navigation of the Rhine , is the former imperial palace, erected between 1884 and 1889 for the German emperor.
The building, located in the centre of the "new city" on the former Emperor’s Square, now Republic Square, surrounded by public buildings, testifies to the half-century during which Strasbourg, under the German regime, experienced a decisive urban development.
