Remarkable garden
This national label was established thanks to the proposals of the National Council of Parks and Gardens, a new institution within the Ministry of Culture and Communication since May 2003. It signals to the general public gardens whose design, plants and maintenance are of a remarkable level, whether private or public, protected or not under monuments or sites. It is awarded for a renewable period of 5 years, on the proposal of the regional commissions formed under the aegis of the Directorate of Cultural Affairs. In Martinique, 4 gardens received, by prefectural decision of 29 October 2015, the label Jardin remarquable:
Jardin de l'Habitation Mahogany, François
Jardin de l'Habitation Saint-Etienne, Gros Morne
Domaine d'Emeraude, Morne-Rouge
Garden of Habitation Céron, at the Preacher
