With Georges Fillioud, our country loses a great servant of the State in
time as an eminent specialist in communication. Male
and a man of the media, he was always one and the other, with equal
conviction. A great Minister of Communication of François
Mitterrand, who was also a man heavily invested in life
of his compatriots, whether as mayor of Romans, deputy of
the Drôme or State Councillor.
Georges Fillioud was also the journalist, the great reporter for
Europe 1, for whom human contact and the taste of
field. He knew how to preserve this fibre when he became president
of the National Audiovisual Institute or President of the Assembly
general d'Arte.
He who declared in 1982 that audiovisual communication is
free" (law liberalizing local radio stations), proudly carried the future of
audiovisual. He liked to observe, criticize, write - "Homo politicus",
“Memory of Both Sides”, “Between Media and Power”… Mr.
State Councillor Fillioud was not a politician like the
others. He embodied “the eternally new man” that he was and had known
stay, with infinite charm and imagination.
I express my heartfelt condolences and warm support to his
Danièle Evenou, as well as all those who had the privilege of
know him.
