This half-day study, organized in partnership with theInstitute of Social Sciences of Politics, as part of the carte blanche of the History Committee of the Ministry of Culture for the 22e Rendez-vous of the history of Blois (from 9 to 13 October 2019) , is an opportunity to question the relationships and dialogues between history and law, in the wake of the work undertaken under the «mémoloi» program on the genesis and history of heritage laws and the colloquium on the role of the Council of State in heritage matters, whose acts have just been published.
It is about understanding, how law is an object for historical science, how historians use it to work on their own objects. Symmetrically, it is also necessary to question the way in which jurists mobilize history, both in the creation and realization of law – law and jurisprudence – but also in the elaboration of a discourse on law.
