The project of the residence
The project consists in co-building with a group of young people a prefiguration of dream spaces for a meeting and engagement of young people of the territory around artistic practices.
The proposed approach will seek to foster discovery, experimentation, initiative and creation. By adopting an open participatory approach in the territory, in liaison with local partners and residents, it may include workshops, visits, exchanges of know-how, transmission times and moments of conviviality. With the support of the partners mobilized in the project, the group will also be able to identify and question spaces that could host the dream project: public buildings, private spaces, public spaces, natural spaces, etc.
The artist or collective must listen to the stories of young people and places, in the observation and research of the human, cultural, heritage qualities and unusual and atypical aspects of the territory. He will have to make original proposals in agreement and in the extension of his artistic approach, which will fit into this framework and will be adapted to the context and the public concerned. It will have to take into account possible existing local projects and potential energy sources. It will have to develop its projects in conjunction with the partners and will also be able to get closer to the various local operators, whether cultural, academic, institutional, public or private.
Duration of residence
The artist or collective will reside in the territory for 10 weeks over 3 to 4 months, which can be divided into several stays. A preliminary meeting will be organized with the project stakeholders to better understand the context and project the residence.

PAHLM, Pratiques Artistiques Hors Les Murs is an associative structure supported by the Ministry of Culture/ Drac Occitanie.
The Drac Occitanie supports the project by supporting the cultural development of the territory, particularly in rural areas. It wishes to implement a concerted policy of artistic presence in the territory, via residencies of territory and third-places that can accommodate artists. The development of these residences supports the communities and structures that work to ensure that the artistic presence is the primary factor in meeting people.
