Since 2019, the Departmental Council of Eure-et-Loir has contributed to the artistic and cultural education path that must be guaranteed to each young person, by developing projects of residencies-missions that allow to welcome over a long time, an e or artists(s) within a college.
Each year, three to four schools host this system, the implementation of which is ensured jointly by the Department, the Departmental Services of National Education (DSDEN) and, from the next school year, with the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs of the Centre-Val de Loire (DRAC).
Artist residencies will be set up during the 2023-2024 school year.
Companies and associations, collectives, cultural structures and facilities, hereinafter referred to as «the artistic partner», are eligible for this call for projects.
Objand
In this context, it is sought a professional artistic partner with a significant production and who can avail of an experience in the field of mediation and the transmission of a practice.
Projects that may be accompanied may fall within the following artistic fields:
- performing arts (theatre, dance, music, circus, etc.)
- Plastic, graphic and visual arts, design;
- book and reading, writing, illustration
- Cinema and digital arts;
It is possible to present multidisciplinary projects.
The artistic partner can also associate with non-artistic stakeholders (journalist, sociologist, landscape architect, urban planner, etc.). The multidisciplinary collective may be created for the occasion or pre-existing.
To promote a better appropriation of the residence-mission by the institutions, the project must be part of the general theme:
The college as a place of development of the critical mind, how does art and creation contribute to it?
Building critical thinking implies an intellectual posture requiring curiosity, distancing from the world around us. Critical thinking is based on the acquisition of transversal skills to develop the ability to argue and debate. Arts and Cultural Education (EAC) is a means of developing the critical mind of the students through the prism of the encounter with an existing work or the creative approach, take distance from its representations, its prejudices, move to thebeyond her spontaneous perception. Applicants are therefore asked to draw up a proposal on the place of art and creation, and more generally culture to this theme, built on principles of action and not on current creations, to allow greater flexibility and adaptability to the wishes/constraints of schools.
It is now possible to submit a project in pairs with a school already identified provided that it is an innovative project, and not already conducted and funded under other EAC schemes (college projects, ACTe, art practice workshops, etc.)
