What is the principle behind this call for applications?
Motivated by a desire to strengthen the bonds of solidarity between the communes and the inhabitants, to guarantee access to the culture of all the population, to reveal a common identity and to promote the territory, its memories and its know-how,The Beauvaisis Agglomeration Community wishes to invest public space as a place of cultural transmission.
Around the project “Growing Connections!” , it will be a matter of giving the Beauvaisins as well as tourists the opportunity to discover works differently, without having to cross the door of a dedicated establishment and see their daily environment transformed. The purpose of the project is to look at the city differently, to highlight the built, the natural heritage, to value the memory of the inhabitants to question the past, to live the present and to build the future.
The partners would like this residence-mission to be an opportunity to open up the different sociogeographical areas, Urban and rural, through inventive proposals of artistic itinerary promoting on the one hand the appropriation of cultural and natural heritage and, on the other hand, the creation of circulations, exchanges and human links throughout this itinerary.
This is why the agglomeration community of Beauvaisis is developing in partnership with the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs of Hauts-de-France, the rectorate of the Academy of Amiens - academic delegation to arts and culture, and the departmental directorate of the Oise National Education Services, a residence-missions 2023 for visual artists.
The residency period is scheduled between January and September 2023.
