Philippe Clair, singer, actor, producer, author and director of many popular comedies in the 1970s and 1980s, died on November 28 at the age of 90.
Born in Morocco, Philippe Clair born Prosper Bensoussan, moved to Paris in the 1950s. He trained with René Simon, who found him his pseudonym, and began his career on stage.
In 1964, he directed his first film with Annie Girardot, Clicks and slaps, the story of a young blackfoot in Paris.
