CALL FOR PROJECTS "COOPERATION, CREATION AND TERRITORIES"

The visual arts network in Nouvelle-Aquitaine STAR, the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs of Nouvelle-Aquitaine and the Regional Council of Nouvelle-Aquitaine co-signed in 2018 a plastic and visual arts sector contract, renewed for the period 2023-2026.

It aims to foster the emergence of a dynamic sector and cooperation between the various actors in the field of visual arts in the region.

Within the framework of this sector contract, the State and the Regional Council jointly launch a call for projects in order to promote the experimentation of cooperation actions in the service of creation in the visual arts sector.

Objectives of the call for projects:

Its purpose is to promote cooperative actions in the visual arts sector. Its objectives are to contribute to the financing of actions which:

• consolidate the artist’s career;
• foster cooperation between visual and visual arts actors and the wider ecosystem in which they are embedded;
• take into account the specificities of the territory and its resources.

This scheme is intended for the following beneficiaries:

• professionals in the visual arts sector (artists, curators, critics, etc.) with a particular link with Nouvelle-Aquitaine (born, residents, graduates or workers);
• structures, associations, artists' collectives, local authorities, cooperatives, galleries, having their head office in Nouvelle-Aquitaine.

Applications can therefore be submitted by a legal entity or a natural person. The maximum amount of aid allocated per project is €20,000.

This call for projects contributes to respect for the rights to freedom of creation and expression, access and participation of people in cultural life. ASTRE also provides you with a reference on artistic remuneration to define a fair amount in your budget.
