The Territorial Contract of Artistic and Cultural Education (CTEAC)
Make territory
The CTEAC is a system led by the Ministry of Culture, in conjunction with the Ministry of National Education and Youth and local authorities, which aims to amplify an arts and cultural education policy coordinated at the local level.
The CTEAC is a cultural project of territory that brings together project leaders, communities of municipalities, cultural partners and institutions around the same desire: to make art and culture accessible to young people from 0 to 25 years.
The Pôle d'Equilibre Territorial et Rural du Pays de Verdun coordinates this collective dynamic at the scale of the 8 intercommunalities of the northern department of the Meuse, in the Grand Est region. Rural territory, the Pays de Verdun pays particular attention to the inhabitants most distant from the cultural offer.
The forty or so federative projects that it accompanies each year are now completed by the implementation of a territory residence.
The territory residence: a participatory experience
The territory residence is a residence of co-construction with the territory and its inhabitants. The artist (or collective) is engaged in a process of co-creation that favors the exchange with the public, while taking into account the characteristics specific to the territory. The resident engages in an experimental approach of cultural action by sharing his work. It involves the inhabitants, educational teams, associations and other local forces in its approach.
This process of co-creation leads to a restitution, a stage of work or an object related to the artistic gesture and the lived experience. The residence helps to strengthen the link between the inhabitants of a territory by federating one or more schools, different socio-cultural actors, as well as the inhabitants around a common project.
Targeted territory
The two territories where the residence takes place are Argonne-Meuse and the Grand Verdun, connected by the river and the canal.
