Purpose of the call for applications
The Park wishes to welcome a professional artist or a group of professional artists from July 5 to November 30, 2025.
The selected artist or collective will present a series of works in the form of an exhibition in the temporary exhibition rooms of the Musée du Vexin français.
All techniques and mediums are welcome.
The theme of the exhibition: The tree, the wood, the forest
(a title proposal will be sent with the application)
The tree, the wood, the forest
In 2025, the French Vexin Regional Natural Park chose to highlight the theme of the tree and the forest throughout the year, with a scientific and fun exhibition «Let’s walk in the Wood» by the Exploradôme, from January to the end of June and an artistic exhibition from July to November.
For this artistic exhibition, the artists are invited to elaborate their proposals by exploring the themes of the tree, wood, forest through various techniques and mediums, such as installations, sculptures, photographs, paintings, collages, ink, nuts, video editing or digital media… (non-exhaustive list)
The multiple facets of the forest, the tree and the wood are all dimensions on which the works can play: sources of inspiration, supports of the imagination, magical space that lends to reverie, places of adventure, refuge, places of myth, fantasy, or fear…
The inclusion of a proposal to adapt the visit of the exhibition to school groups (mainly of primary age) would be a plus: proposal of a tour-route of the exhibition or workshop that could be seized by the museum’s animation team.
The committee of choice will be sensitive to the consideration of this dimension.
Conditions of participation
- exhibition open to professional artists only,
- possibility of forming a collective of artists for the occasion,
- propose a series of works for presentation in all rooms, corresponding to the conditions of reception of the site described in Article 4 and the theme chosen,

- the artist will be responsible for the delivery and return of the works, under his responsibility, including insurance
- a remuneration of 15,000 € TTC will be paid to the artist or the collective (drafting of an agreement allowing payment in 3 phases: creation/ presentation on site/ end of exhibition)
The Park will:
- the availability of the exhibition place,
- communication around the exhibition with:
- publishing a poster and a leaflet presenting the exhibition distributed in the town halls, tourist offices and tourist places of the territory and the surroundings,
