AAP animation cinema residency

As part of the cultural project of territory (PCT), the Drac des Pays de la Loire, the Conseil départemental de la Loire-Atlantique and the Communauté de communes de Châteaubriant-Derval (Loire-Atlantique) launch a call for applications for a territorial residency in the field of animation cinema. This residency will take place in the fall, from September 30 to December 8, 2024. Application deadline: 13 May 2024, deadline

Since 2017, the Community of Communes of Chateaubriant-Derval has set up a system of artistic residencies in the fields of cinema, visual arts, performing arts and literature. This desire to welcome artists in the heart of a given territory is part of a broader cultural project of territory. Among its axes, the artistic network and the link between artists and inhabitants are predominant. In 2019, the Community of Communes chose to orient this system towards animated cinema. This domain corresponds to a desire to develop it throughout the territory.
To this end, a partnership was created with confirmed experts such as:
-Xavier Kawa-Topor (founder and general delegate of the Nef Animation),
-Johan Chiron (co-founder of the Incroyable studio in Nantes),
-the Emeraude cinema team in Châteaubriant.
And collaboration:
Department of Loire-Atlantique with Virginie Bourget, in charge of the visual arts and cinema sector of the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs (Drac) with Frédérique Jamet, multimedia audiovisual cinema advisor and Christophe Poilane, cultural and territorial action adviser.
This residency receives the support of the Department of Loire-Atlantique and the Drac Pays de la Loire as part of the cultural project of territory signed between the three partners for the period 2022-2026.
