What does the Culture Fund do for Enfance?
The fund Culture for Children sets up actions to meet the need of some children who are far from the offer and artistic practice to be able to flourish through the arts. To carry out its actions, the Culture for Children fund uses a 4-step methodology:
- A time of preparation through an educational workshop: children discover works and practices in a fun way.
- A time of discovery by an interactive visit of one of the sites of Culturespaces, dedicated to the discovery of the senses.
- A creative time to develop children’s artistic expression.
- A time of restitution to enhance the children’s creations.
All Culture for Childhood programs include these 4 steps, specifically designed for primary school children in social precariousness (6 to 12 years) but also sick and disabled middle and high school students (12 to 18 years).
The solidity of the proposed courses is based in particular on the mobilization of a large network of partners. It includes many cultural professionals: artists, mediators, administrators... but also academies for the implementation of experimental projects.
Axes supported by Culture pour l'Enfance
The Culture for Children Fund focuses on 3 areas of intervention for the implementation of its programs.
Art and digital
The programs are developed in the three digital art centers of Culturespaces: the Atelier des Lumières in Paris, the Bassin des Lumières in Bordeaux and the Carrières des Lumières in Baux-de-Provence.
Depending on the project, children are encouraged to immerse themselves, experiment and develop their reflection on digital art.
Heritage and creativity
Mixing history of art and discovery of French heritage, children discover Parisian mansions, the hotel de Caumont in Aix-en-Provence as well as opera and theatre.
Culture and well-being
This theme brings together initiatives that combine culture and self-expression. Sensory activities in the gardens and dance courses are offered.
Thus, these 3 axes reflect both the know-how of the company Culturespaces but also the exploration of other artistic disciplines for the development of children.

To carry out this project, Culturespaces has chosen the sheltered foundation model, which is attractive for companies wishing for easier administrative management.
From the Culturespaces foundation to the Culture for Children endowment fund
The Culturespaces foundation has gradually become a key player in the field of access to art and heritage for children who are far from it.
In order to assert their position and continue to develop their actions, the foundation has thus transformed into a Culture for Children endowment fund. This new status allows them to embody their role as philanthropic operators.
