General States of the cultural and creative industries
The States General of the Cultural and Creative Industries (ICC) are the starting point for a dynamic of structuring the various industries into a real sector.
Dynamic, innovative, with significant economic spin-offs in the territories and strong projection capacity in external markets and territories, CCIs are not all as well equipped to face the challenges they face: as a result of the 2015 attacks on the use of cultural sites, radical changes in consumption patterns and the emergence of new players operating on a global scale.
The structuring of the various sectors of the culture and creative economy into a real sector is also accompanied by new financing measures which complement the existing arrangements and which reflect the will of the State in favour of development cultural and creative industries.
“Cultural and creative industries are the lifeblood of our culture. Architecture, books, cinema, music, audiovisual media, the press, radio, video games, visual arts and live entertainment: the sectors they represent account for 640,000 jobs and 91 billion euros in sales. We are launching the ICC Estates General to give them the full benefit of this economic potential.”
