Editorial line
Created in 1985, the journal Culture & Recherche presents and explains the cultural research conducted within the Ministry of Culture in all its components: heritage, creation, media, cultural industries, technological developments applied to the cultural sector.
Each issue is devoted to a priority area of the Ministry’s action, whose work is carried out by actors and partners in cultural research funded and supported by the Ministry of Culture. The journal aims to disseminate and make visible cultural research to a wider audience of professionals in the cultural and research sector. It offers a look at the current state of cultural research developed within the various structures of the Ministry (institutions, research structures, laboratories, network of Higher Education Culture schools) and those who register, in particular, in the framework agreement with the CNRS, in force since 1992, the ministerial research strategy or specific calls for projects.
